I'm a Blogger now... I think
I'm not really sure how to do this. But starting a blog has been on my mind for quiet some time now and upon popular demand (by which i mean, two very close friends) I've finally taken a leap of faith, in myself, and created a blog.
I think I will use this as a platform for me to just rant about random thoughts I have. I'm guessing that's what blogging is all about. So here we go, my first blog post.
I just joined a new firm, as a receptionist. First impression: It's not as bad as I thought. Granted, being part of the first line of defence is intimidating but I'm honestly loving it. I get to meet new people almost every day, I get a big work station and a fancy "office", everybody has to pass by me and that just forces them to say "Hi". Working at a big firm has it's perks - loads of multi-national people, all kinds of festivals and holidays are celebrated, there's always free food especially cakes, mmmm.. CAKES!π. Dammit, focus girl! So the perks are plenty but at the same time there are downsides to it. For example, just yesterday I was asked if I wanted to do things my way or the way things are being done ("The Right Way!")π. I don't know what it meant, especially because our discussion was on attaching a file and replying to an email. Anyway, it's been three weeks and so far I'm really liking this place, lets keep our fingers crossed.
Also, this new job is far away from where I live, so I reach work an hour before everybody and leave work an hour later than my actual timing. This drastically reduces my social life ( not that I had much of a social life to begin with, but still) don't even get me started on how it affects my relationship ( of course I'm not in a relationship, Mom! That would be so wrongπ ). But, yeah that's a topic for a whole other post.
But I've got to find the balance, work, social life, relationship and can't forget house chores π€¦. I'm going to be a blubbering mess very soon. And hopefully, I'll keep writing about it and ya'll can read and live vicariously through me.
Until next time.. Cheers!
As a big fan of your scribbles and your dramas....the readers would like to know how cool is one of the two close friends (the coolest one) (without revealing their identity).
